I would definately go see this movie. not only is Depp a dream but Freddie's music was some of the greatest and that combination alone......equals a good flick. Oh and to answer future questions on who is Freddie Mercury......he was the lead singer for Queen whom is one of the most famous bands of all time.

Brian May says on his website, that the movie is just now in the very early talking stages. He says that Johnny Depp playing Freddie is just a rumour started by the tabloids. However, he said Johnny Depp would make a "...worthy counterpart for Freddy on screen...".

Ummmm... NO. I did not see Queen when they came to town back when Freddie was alive, so I don't think I would waste the money on a movie which will actually cost more than what it would have cost me to see Queen back in the 70's.

why the hell would they make a movie starring someone famous about someone who doestn look like he's anything more then an actor himself. there isnt anything about him that stands out other then that he's been acting quite a while.
