Depends on the banks, but it is possible to link an ATM card with a saving account.

Only in a saving account, like it has been said here, you might not want easy access to it.

Banks no longer issue atm cards with a savings account. It really saves the bank alot of money because they have to pay for the cost of the plastic. If they do, it will cost you more than what you have in you account for monthly fees. Some banks will issue you an atm card with a savings, if you deposit more than 1500, but the account cannot fall below a certain amount(usually 5 or 600).

An ATM card can be used with either a savings or checking account at most any bank or credit union.

An ATM card let's you take money out of an ATM, but will not work in the supermarket, at stores, etc. All savings accounts I've had came with an ATM card.

If you want a card that you can use in stores (A Check Card) you will need a checking account.

Yes you can!! Most regular banks such as Bank of America or Washington Mutual wont, but a credit union will! You do not have to be 18, but you do have to have a California State Id (or whatever state you are in). I got one when I was 17. Hope this helps!!

No, just checking. Having one with a savings account defeats the purpose of "saving"
