I'd say the same thing that happened when Russia's economy collapsed, basically get used to things like women being killed routinely and nobody caring.
Or, considering that the US has a 1 TRILLION DOLLAR trade deficit to China, solely incurred since the inception of feminism, that will still need to be paid off, and welfare and divorce loving women will be to blame...
I'd say someone's going to be working in sweat shops in China for a very long time (when they are sold to pay the afforementioned debt).

At the beginning of the 5th century, did the Romans realize their entire system would soon collapse? Probably not. Most societies eventually collapse and are replaced so I do not think that part of the question is unreasonable.
But why is it just a women's problem? Men get their share of government payments too!
I think that when this happens men and women will realize that the traditional family did serve a real purpose. Husbands and wives sustain each other and provide for their children.
I just hope that we have not reached the same position as the 5th century Romans!

When welfare payments stop and dads can't be forced to make child support payments, women will band together and make do. It would actually help more than it hurts because young girls will get serious about not giving in to those idiot guys in high school who are out for a fling. Instead they will look at the guys who have good jobs and are ready to have families--ready enough to give them a ring before the fling.

Both, men and women will be in an urgent situation when both will have to decide about their future government. Don't forget that welfare payments are not exclusively for women but for single PARENTS.
If you are suggesting that women should be more thankful for what they are getting from the state, instead of fighting for their rights, then rather ask yourself what ARE women really doing in wars: loosing their husbands and sons, being mass rape victims and have no influence at all to prevent it.

More importantly what will men do when the Govt. stops paying for their irresponsibility and mistakes?
Those babies were born to parents, it took two human beings to produce them. One male one female. Those statistics include the men who impregnated them and then left only because they could.
What would men do if they were forced by law to stay with the mothers of their children? Perhaps they would make sure to keep it in their pants? Perhaps use a condom? Perhaps invent new birth control for men?

Maybe make castration mandatory. Women can only have so many children, but men can have hundreds they can run away from and spread more STDs.
