Obviously Hussein. Ford was long out of the political picture. His death was tragic and it was sad to see such a man go, but Saddam being hanged had many more implications. Now the Baathists will probably declare some kind of war on America. Insurgencies in Iraq will boil over and such...

Depends on where you are. The soldiers in Iraq will be impacted more by Saddam's execution. Persons living in North America with no loved ones serving overseas will be more impacted by President Ford's death.

I really hope that the answer turns out to be NEITHER. I am afraid that the hanging of Hussein may appear to be a result of pressure by the US, and that it will cause more violence against both Iraqis and US soldiers in Iraq.
I'm pretty sure that other than the fact that the government gets a 4-day weekend, the peaceful death of President Ford will have no effect.

The hanging of saddam got hundreds of Islam radicals pissed and made thousands more happy. When gerald ford died the whole country went into mourning because he was a good man and a good president. He was a friendly guy and knew what he was talking about. But if you are thinking of the impact in a bad way i would say that hundreds of people are pissed that we hung saddam but in the other way people are happy saddam is dead. It is hard to distinguish between the two because saddam was a mass murderer and gerald ford was a great guy.

Gerald Ford was a good and peaceful man, but his days were done and we all knew time had to be drawing near. Hussein on the otherhand really thought he could beat this thing and was hopeful in getting his power back. That's not a good comparison between the two men, but on my life I have to say that Hussein's death had more impact. PEACE!!!

President Ford was a great man, but unfortunately Hussein's execution is huge news. It is a shame that President Ford's passing was over shadowed by the death of a tyrant. Also, don't forget James Brown passed away also, he was involved with the civil rights movement and is an American icon, not the same caliber as a president but important none the less.

the impact of Saddam's martyrdom is so huge for the Muslims worldwide that no Muslim can't thank enough to Bush, Blair, Ehud Olmert, etc for giving this wake-up call to 1. 5 billion Muslims. About Ford, well, every now and then everyone has to die. But if you keep on hanging Muslim world leaders like that, you endnager nothing except yourself.

Hanging Saddam (maybe his name should be retroactively changed to Chad). Ford died a natural death after a long productive life. That's the natural way of things.
