I need some help. I just bought a mexican Fender stratocaster, but when i plug into my Marshall mg30dfx, it gives off this buzz thats really noticable when i turn up the volume. I usually keep my gain at 5, and i never had a problem when i plugged my Squier Strat, which i still own, in the amp. Im guessing its either the guitar or the cable. I highly doubt its the amp, but im open to any suggestions. help!

In addition, if its the cable, can you guys recommend me any good affordable cables?

try getting a new cable. if its not that then, its the guitar. maybe a loose connection. some of the newer strats have pretty hot pickups and if not wired correctly the hum cancel is not wired right. you see most guitars these days are wired for hum in guitars to cancel out. cheaper mexican strats have a tendency to do this some times.

The buzzing is caused by the plug not making good contact with each other at the guitar. The male plug has to make good tight contact to both parts of the female plug in the guitar. if there is a small gap it will buzz
