The DS has been well worth the money compared to a PSP. The DS folds up to protect itself so I don't have to worry about it getting scratched or broken as easily as the PSP.
The games are quite fun and don't have the long loading times that I've dealt with on the PSP, which I think is important in a portable system when I might only be playing it for 10-20 minutes at a time. It's also a lot of fun to play the DS games with a group of friends with DSes because a lot of times you can play with only one copy of the software.
And they usually can appeal to a lot more people than the PSP games might. I have so many non gamer friends that bought a DS after playing with mine and now they always want to play together when we have parties where they would never have touched a home console.
So no, I don't regret getting a DS.

My DS was worth the money I paid for it.......it was a Christmas present last year from my ex boyfriend! Seriously, though, I don't like the PSP; I think it's not durable enough for someone like me because I drag my handheld games around in my purse, which the kids I babysit get into, so a PSP would have been broken in about 3 seconds. I'm also running around a lot, so a whole big system like the PS3 or Wii isn't very smart for me. I like DS games and GBA games that I can play on there just fine. There's a wide selection and they cost a lot less than games for the big systems, which is a plus in my mind. The only thing that I would want more than my DS is a DS Lite, because dragging the thing around in my purse all the time, it would be nice if it was a little more streamlined and weighed a bit less.

DS urinates all over the PSP from a great height. Its outselling its sony counterpart hugely for a good reason. Solid and imaginative games. Something the PSP just doesnt have enough of. Not to mention its outrageously expensive for a portable device. The DS you can play on the move, doing that with a PSP scream MUG ME I HAVE MORE MONEY THAN SENSE!

Hell yeah. I'm pissed because Nintendo should have released the DS Lite in the first place. I got the original DS, and I was happy with it. Then I got pissed because Nintendo decided to release the DS Lite, which is a lot better than the DS. DS Lite is sleeker, has a brighter screen, less bulky, and smaller, which makes it really portable.

I love my DS! I use it all of the time.
I could care less about the PSP, the PS3 is too expensive for me, and I already have the Wii.

I love my DS Lite. So far I have no deep interest in aquiring any of those other consoles; my husband would like the PS3, and wouldn't mind trying out the others, but I am perfectly satisfied with just our DS Lite.
