I don't believe so. I think it's more on the trail of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). "The narcissist lacks the perfectionism of the OCD"

No it's defiantly heading toward Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
If it begins to rule your life & effect relationships then you need to condsider seeking help.
O.C.D. is one of the more disabling forms of Anxiety there's bound to be a deep seated cause for your behaviour, perhaps even related to an early trauma.
Believe this or not, but if you've seen the TV show MONK he portrays a trauma related form on OCD.

Absolutely not. Trying to be the best you can, and expecting nothing less than perfect is not in anyway being a narcissist.

I dont think they're the same.. but most of my friends who's narcissism are perfectionist.. but not all of them...

no , I just think it is like any other disorder , like having to wash your hands 32 times a day .
