you'll get coke in your eyes. you should watch mythbusters, they tell you the science behind it. Diet coke works best, is that the same as CC light?

Doesn't taste too bad. I prefer Classic. The video (check youtube) shows two guys dropping some mentos into coke (2L bottles) in an orchastrated fountain like display. I tried it, don't try it with cold pop, its too sluggish - oh and definitely outside or in the shower. Personally I think sugar would be more impressive, but I haven't compared the geysers. Maybe the mint oil makes a difference, maybe not. CO2 is less soluble in sugar solutions so the fizz comes out of the Coke. I wonder if pH is a factor. CO2 is less soluble in acids.... ANyway just spurts all over, completely harmless (except to electronics, carpets and you dad's car interior!). ANd the cap could pop you in the eye if you're not careful!

Large amount of gas will be generated when the chemistry reaction takes place between the coke and mentos. This amount of gas does not stop until all compounds are reacted from either party.

it will fizz and bubble and probably produce a burning substance, did you know they clean machines using coca cola? the bubble action is similar to some of the Mr. Bubbles, and cleansing products, the mint/menthol from the mentos mixing with the bubbles from the pop will burn.

Nothing will happen. That is all fake, go ahead and get a bottle of coke, and go in your living room, and drop a hand full of mentos into the bottle of coke. Nothing will happen.

well on mythbusters they put mentos in a 2 lite bottle of coke and when they did it shot up like a fountain or i suggest you don't do that in your body or in your house also llok it up on youtube you may get a video of the mythbusters or someone else doing it
