The 1949 Chevrolet. I believe this is the mass-produced car that was the harbinger for modern automobile design. It is amazingly beautiful car. Cars in the era and even beyond were rectangles on wheels. And get this: When GM had the opportunity to continue that design through the 1950's, they passed. Instead, the cars of the 1950's and throughout the rest of the century were more strongly influenced by the symmetrical trunk and engine sections coming out from the high box. i have been through lots of cars, some i liked a lot better than they were worth:
1971 amc matador wagon 232 engine and 3 on the tree and "nash seat" [my fathers last car]
1965 corvair 500. with some tire and suspension mods this car was very capable in corners
1986 jeep Comanche 2wd 2.46 ltr it was well put together adequate in power and very comfortable and my first "new " vehicle

Chevy Caprice/Impala, any year with rear-wheel drive. V8 power, lots of room, and reliable.
After that, I like the mid-to-late 70s Ford LTD for the same reasons.

mine would be a Chevy caprice,,there big,and ride good ,and hard to beat on a long trip,the ride is good also,and plenty of room in those big things,,good luck,happy new years.
