Yes, he is shooting with Amanda Bynes, for his new movie Hairspray, so he is really busy, and instead, Drew Seely, who sings some of his parts for him in High School Musical will take his place.

Zac Efron wasn't in the High School Musical tour because he was up in Canada filming "Hairspray" with Amanda Bynes and Brittney Snow. :)â¥

ya because that really wasnt him singing in the movie it was drew seley ,who is playing zac at the concerts,and also zac is filming a Musical called Hairspray

well for one thing he is shooting a movie with amanda bynes and second he doesn't really sing in the movie. so to ask him to go would be asking him to lip-synch in public and i don't think the people want another ashley simpson "episode" like on SNL don't u think?
