when they let kids ride school buses everyday with no safety features

I agree. It makes no sense. They have even said it would be more dangerous if kids wore seatbelts on a school bus .. why would that be ? .. Makes no sense. Good Luck ! :)

A lot of Liberals have been working for years to get seatbelts on school busses, but the Republicans side with the bus operators in saying its too expensive, and another example of Liberals meddling in business.

untill recently anyway most school buses are not invovled in seroius accidents. And due to thier size, when invovled in wrecks with cars still little damage is done to the bus
But in normal car accidents there is a slightly higher percentage of people saved compared to non seat belt

watch some footage of motor vehicles accidents regarding fatalities due to unsecure drivers/passengers. Search into the number of lives that a could of been saved, if occupants of a vehicle had been safely restrained. That might give u a better insight into ur question.

Same reason some state make motorcycle riders wear a helmet, they think it is for our own good. And it will help reduce health care cost.
