How would you tune a guitar without an electric tuner. You know,by its self.If that's possible. Give me every little detail. I have an acoustic guitar--if that makes a difference.

I use a tuner cuz i'm pretty much tone deaf, and i have an accoustic. But if you don't want a tuner you can use a piano or organ that is the same note as guitar (low E, B, so forth). Some people memorize the tone and can just tune it as long as the low E is in tune.

Go to the Online Pitch Pipe at http://www.harmonize.com/metropolis/online_pitch_pipe.htm
Click on the appropriate note.
As the note plays tune the appropriate string.
When you tune you are listening for the two sounds to become one.

use a tuning fork for 1 string, then go from there in the 5th-fret method. hold fret5 of the lowE string, then hit the A string. keep going like that, just be sure to hold the 4th, not 5th, fret when tuning the B string with the Gstring.
