Are you changing the water? and changing the filter media? If you are using a carbon filter it needs to be changed at least once a month...when it sits there too long it begins to leech toxins back into the water. Also, are you talking about the little feeder goldfish? If so...they are usually in very poorly cared for tanks anyway, and a lot of them are half-dead already. Get a real goldfish, they don't cost more than $3-4 and they live a long time and very hardy.

First, goldfish are dirty. You need 10-20 gallons PER GOLDFISH to keep them really healthy. 10 fish in 10 gallons is never going to work. Goldfish are not that great for aquariums, they need constant cleaning, heavy filtering, and a ton of room. I suggest you start over, empty and clean the tank, and buy some little tetras or danios or something. Whatever you do, don't put that many goldfish back in that little tank.

You can't put 10 goldfish in a 10 gallon tank. Goldfish require 20+ gallons EACH to survive.

Plus the tank needs to go through the nitrogen cycle before you can add any goldfish to it.

Do not keep goldfish in a tank that small, there are much better fish out there. Do 50% water changes every few days to keep the deaths down, but get rid of the goldfish. They are pondfish.

You properly maintain a 10 gallon goldfish tank by getting either a bigger tank or smaller fish. Goldfish do NOT work in a 10 gallon tank. You can't even properly house 1 goldfish in there, much less 10!

First of all, goldfish are not the cleanliest fish around. They tend to send off poisonous toxins in the water from the bowl moving. Maybe you should get some other kind of fish for pets. Oh yes, you have to many.

you are way overstocking your tank. A single goldfish needs a MINIMUM 30 gallons since they can get over a foot long. For a 10 gallon I would put in about 6-8 neon tetras or similar sized fish. When purchasing fish stock by the adult size, not current size

confident, yet they're going to die rather quickly. Wait till you get the fifty 5-gallon tank in the previous you get the goldfish. As my relative Robert Burns wrote, "the main suitable laid plans of mice and adult males gang aft aglae."

first off if you are putting tap water in there make sure you have placed the right amount of chemicals before putting fish. you should treat the water and not add fish for about a week. secondly goldfish are the dirtiest little bastards to get so don't do that. try to upgrade to about 3 decent fish and see how that goes. Check your gravel or stones you have in there. make sure they are proper stones for a fish tank, not just dirt you dug up from the back yard.

Did you use declor in the water? If not then the water is toxic. Also do you have an air pump? You need it to be properly airated or else the fish will die. And the smell is either all those dead fish or you are over feeding them. They dont need much food. Only what they can consume in about 2 minutes. Also what do you have the water temp at? set it so it is about 70 degrees because comets are coldwater fish.
