But aren't?

I've just started learning Japanese. It is an uphill battle but I wish I could snap my fingers and magically be fluent in it. What's your language choice?

Lol! I just wanted to say Japanese when I read your details, then I looked at your avatar and I kind of guessed your reason. Japanese is one of my favourite languages because I am crazy about anime and manga (which I'm sure you know they have their origin in Japan), so I would like to learn more from the country that gave birth to two of my biggest hobbies.

Plus, when I watch anime and I listen to their voices, it just sounds nice.

Depends what country you're in, or what your business you're in. The most important language in the world is English. Most of the world wants to add English to their national language. Notice that anywhere you go in the world you can find English speakers, especially if the person is educated. There are more English speakers in China than there are in the US! Why do you want to be fluent in another language? In America, it would be useful to speak Spanish. In the world at large, there are more Chinese people than any other, and their official language is Mandarin. They have many dialects there, but the government is driving out the others in favor of Mandarin. Another language to learn would be French. Until recently, French was the language for international affairs so is still understood in many parts of the world, and makes you sound very educated.

I wish that I was fluent in Spanish. We live in Texas and we have a large Spanish population where we live so I really wish that I could speak Spanish.

I would love to be fluent in several languages. My husband is Greek and can speak it effortlessly. He hits the accents so naturally...when I try saying words, it's just not the same.

Spanish - and Vietnamese. Spanish because a lot of people in our town speak only Spanish; Vietnamese because I'd like to know what the manicurists are saying while they're working on your nails and chatting back and forth.

I already know Spanish and English, but I'd love to learn either Italian or Portuguese.
Hopefully, someday I'll learn them both ♥
