How did Bush succeed in planting hatred against Muslims amongst his countrymen and Europe?

By making 9/11 about religion, as opposed to making it about terrorist states and terrorist activities. When the Irish and the English were blowing each other up every day back in the 80's and 90's, no American president ever talked about "Radical Catholics." They stressed the political and geographical differences of the enemy, not their religion. In the present situation, the President and the American media has used the religion of the attackers as their defining common trait, since it didn't highlight their political issues with how the US had handled itself in the region.

There are more Muslims in the world than Christians, and the vast majority of them are peaceful people. Thinking that radical Muslim terrorists represent all Muslims is the same thing as thinking that the KKK represents all Christians. It's a lazy and ignorant way of just letting the TV do your thinking for you, because you're afraid of what happened to our country.

I was born and raised in Europe and have been living in the USA for about 20 years. I know that people in Europe have been feeling resentment for the Northern Africans and Turkish Muslims for a long time way before Bush was president, in fact he was still a teenager in those days. Maybe if Muslims stopped committing acts of terrorism the world over like they have been doing for the last 30 years they would become a little more popular with the rest of us.

Maybe it was the fact that 3,000 American civilians were murdered by Muslims on 9/11.

Or maybe it was the videos of Muslims around the world celebrating when they heard about it.

Maybe it was the Muslim attacks on all the various American military installations around the world.

Maybe it's the constant threats from that sawed-off little idiot running Iran.

Maybe it's the Muslim cells that are constantly plotting attacks on innocent civilians in places like Lackawanna, NY or Miami, Fl or in England or Denmark or where ever.

Maybe it's the murders committed because some dopey reporter somewhere dared publish a cartoon depicting Mohammad as a bomb-tosser.

President Bush didn't turn anyone against Muslims. they did that all by themselves with their dispicable behavior towards everyone who's not a follower of their beliefs.

Try the truth once in a while, you'll find it refreshing when you don't have to lie anymore.

Muslims have put a lot of effort into that themselves over the past 30 years by hi-jacking planes, holding and torturing prisoners, and showing the world that they would rather blow themselves up and take a few "infiedels" with them. Don't be dense.

He didn't plant any such thing. Any educated person in the US or in Europe, for that matter knows that individuals must be judged on their actions, not on the basis of skin color, religion, or creed.

People with less education may not be able to diffferentiate between "average Joe" Muslim and "Suicide Bomber" Muslim, and therefore mistrust all Muslims.

America has fought to prevent the genocide of Muslim people from the Baltic states to Somalia to Iraq, and we have been repayed in the form of cowardly terroristic bombings of ships and buildings killing thousands of innocent people.
