everyone is different. we all have different religions, political views, morals, etc. a lot of those people are closed-minded and refuse to accept other opinions. to them, they're right and everyone else is wrong. and you see my friend, because we have so many people like that, the world is corrupt and everyone never gets along with someone different from them. because to them different people are wrong people.

As children, we actually do get along mostly. Until we are socialised into a world which places too much value on the individual and maximising his/her/its potential all too often at another's expense.

and it's important IMHO to remember that conflict is not a bad thing as long as we keep perspective that conflict is an opportunity for people to grow - the win-win approach.

Trouble is, we are addicted to winning only when someone loses.

Even worse are the ostriches who prefer to bury their heads in the sand and contribute nothing to changing the world, unless it's their own.

Funny about it being a "man's world - testosterone and territory. Men mess things up and we leave it to women to do the cleaning.

If we had a society which valued acceptance of difference, forgiveness, compassion and co-operation then what a great world we could have.

HA! Wishful thinking buddy. Personally, I think people are too selfish and absorbed in their own lives to give an old possum's fart about others. Not to mention the fact that nobody can agree when it comes to religion.

Fear which leads to mistrust which will be very hard to get rid of. I think it derives from those that came before us who tell the next generation, be good, but watch out for the blacks, chinese, jews, americans, indians etc. etc. Prejudice is handed down to each generation like an heirloom.

yes, I've stopped and thought that once, but, the thing is, as humans, our opinions and views on things differ wildly. So we can never be as one unless something threatens us all. (example: aliens come to kill us) The only way we could all band together is brainwashings, or serving a temporary common goal.

I agree with ELIZY. I have had friends and I have been there for them and gotten stepped on more than once. I prefer keeping to myself mostly now because that way no one can hurt me.
