I agree. Some people seem so blessed while others are less fortunate. And at times, the people who are more blessed don't seem to realize it and take it for granted as well. I like to think that if I'm not as blessd as they appear to be, there must be a reason of a higher source. But at the same time, one's definition of :"blessed" might differ from yours.
One may rich in wealth while the other is rich in love, one may be confident but the other unsure, one may be full of life while the other clenches on by threads. Everyone is blessed in some way, seek yours and focus on what you have and not others and be grateful for it.

No, I don't think people are born luckier than others. I think some people make themselves luckier than others. There's a famous saying in my business that luck is when preparedness meets opportunity. If you prepare yourself for the event -- ie, you have all the qualifications for a job -- and then you open yourself to lots of opportunities -- like talking to that guy on the bus about how you're looking for a new job, you could get "lucky" in that the guy on the bus refers you to the job of your dreams! But if you look closely, that was just preparedness meeting opportunity that you created for yourself.
As for random drawings, like sweepstakes, there's another famous saying: "You can't win if you don't play." If you enter enough contests, eventually you will get "lucky." In fact, there are people who are sweepstakers who spend a ridiculous amount of time entering contests (with good odds) and end up winning a lot of stuff.
Also, luck is kind of how you see it. Let's say I walk across the street and I'm hit by a car and I lose an arm. You might say "Oh, how unlucky," but I might say, "Wow, I'm SO lucky I didn't get killed!"
There's more about the concept of luck, perception, opportunity, etc. in the book below.

Luck does not actually exist- belief in luck is what makes it real. If you think you are lucky you are lucky. If you are fortunate throughout your- life thank the higher powers and your own Carma. Carma for a soul to receive blessings in life and a persons perception of those blessings is what people think luck is. That is how someone is"born lucky" not because of some abstract idea of LUCK but your will, belief, Carma, and timing are what creates good fortune. Think positively and recognize the small and large "lucky things" that you have by being thankful and more will come your way.

I think the harder people work the luckier they seem to get, but there are always some events that are not under your control and seem to have no apparent reason as to why it happened in the first place.

I don't believe in luck.. I believe there's a purpose for everything and if people seem luckier than others than they are doing something right or their supposed to be doing something with the "luck" for the right purpose.

I am not sure if you would call it luck or know but the circumstances of our birth, can and does affect our lives, think of all the children in the poor third world countries, that are at war or in dire straights due to no fault of their own, as well it can happen in our own home where we take care and plan as well as we might, but still misfortune happens. we have no control over our destinies but we do have an abundance of faith to believe that we will some how survive, and no matter what or at least most of the time there are survivors, but again as we have seen, some times there is not, I can not explain it either, but I do not believe luck is the answer

i do no longer particularly decide directly to declare too lots approximately my success. it particularly is unusual yet I comprehend that everytime I "brag" approximately how fortunate i'm, I finally end up screwed. No kidding. So i'm constantly careful with what I say because of the fact I actually have a bent to constantly brag and teach off... =.='' i'd say i'm fortunate. i've got survived in injuries that have been risky sufficient for some continues to be on the wellbeing midsection. i'm fortunate with human beings as nicely. particularly those i'm no longer close with and that they are those that save me on each occasion i'm in a complicated difficulty. i'm no longer fortunate with prevailing issues. which includes lottery and prizes... ok that's all I have been given to declare because of the fact i do no longer decide on undesirable success.

no. there is no such thing as luck as there is the law of karma. my "luck" is terrible when it comes to lottery or gambling. but my "luck" is great when it comes to talking to the police!! I never get tickets (knock on wood) Its all a matter of skill. and also, it wasn't planned for me to have an easy way to financial freedom, otherwise i wouldn't be on earth to struggle and realize i have to work for what i want. if everything came so easily and we called it "luck," we would miss the point of why we are here in the first place.

No. I believe people develop personalities which either bring them luck, or not. I think if a person has a positive outlook, and looks for the good in everything, then he draws "good luck" to himself.
