Duh...yes they are white. There is a such term as "black Irish". That refers to Irish that are olive complected and have darker hair color and eye color....but they are WHITE.

Irish people are white. You are considered white if you ancestry traces back to Europe. They are white and Caucasian at the same time. Indian people are also considered Caucasian, but this has nothing to do with the colour of your skin, it is about bone structure.
Whoever told Irish people arent white just made that up. Being white is about skin colour and Irish people are pretty white. If somebody was not considered white it might be southern Europeans but they are still white, even though they are darker than the average "white" person.
Also, some Irish are mixed with Spanish because the Spanish came to Ireland in the past. They ended up staying there and that is why you see some darker skinned and dark haired Irish people. But, they are still white.

Italians and Irish are white groups that have been oppressed in the past. That's why a lot of them see themselves as seperate from other white people.

If you are a descendant of a european then you are white even if you have dark skin. If you are mixed with anything other than what is considered white then you are bi or multi racial.

They are white, and they are caucasian.
Many are Celtic and this, too, is White.
Non-white includes Asian, Native American, black, hispanic and others.
Basically, if you're European, you're white.
