Homosexuality is natural in animals. Swans, penguins, bats, sheep, beetles, ostriches, and flamingos are some of the many animals that form both homosexual and heterosexual pairings.

I think the only way to answer your question is to say that some people are so strongly biased that they dont want to consider the fact that homosexuality occurs in nature. However, you have a very valid point. Homosexuality is very common in male dolphins for example. I've included an article about it below. Also, according to the Wildlife Wetland Trust, there is a cute story a pair of male flamingos that would steal eggs from females and attempt to hatch them as their own. There's an article for that below as well. Furthermore, there is a children's book out on a pair of homosexual male penguins (this article is also below). Parents have protested the book saying it promotes homosexuality. Keep in mind that those who condemn homosexuality cling to Biblical defenses to explain everything. Thus, they create a brick that cannot be broken. Just scrool above and look at the posts that say, stuff along the lines of God not wanting humans to follow suite with animals. Its a very weak defense. As is denial that homosexuality in animals exists, because you, I, and an intelligent person knows that it does. Hell, I once had a gay cat, named Blacky, that tried to mate with other male cats. It just goes to show that humans are part of the natural world and that our sexuality comes naturally to as, just as it does to animals. Opponents of homosexuality won't admit this because it defeats their argument that homosexuality is a choice, since animals don't have the mental capacity to choose to be gay. It just provides further strong evidence the homosexuality is not a choice, just a natural occurrence.

I don't think there's anything wrong with homosexuality. People keep saying it's unnatural but I think it's natural. Homosexuals are a minority, but that doesn't make them unnatural. African-Americans are a minority, but they're not "unnatural." Natural by its very definition states "Existing in or caused by nature; not made or caused by humankind." Being gay isn't a choice. It's scientifically proven that homosexuality is genetic and not a decision. See the source I posted below. As far as religion goes, I'm Jewish and the Torah condemns homosexuality as well. I am a reform Jew, which is very liberal (I'm a liberal as well.) and open minded. G-d wouldn't create gays and lesbians if he thought homosexuality was wrong. We're all G-d's children and in his image, right? Homosexuality has nothing to do with pedophilia and necrophilia or any paraphilia like that. Pedophilia is actually a mental disorder--a fact that the American Psychiatry Association has believed since 1968. Pedophilia and homosexuality both deal with gene abnormalities, but they're both very different. I have ADHD, which is a result of irregular genetic or brain chemistry. Autism is also a result of genetic abnormalities, but it's very different from ADHD. That's like saying a snake is basically a mouse because they're both animals. Homosexuality has been observed in many species. As far as homosexual parents goes, I don't think a mother and father is necessary to raise a healthy child. Supportive, attentive, and responsible parents that know what they're doing are. Also, homosexuals can have children via a sperm or egg donor. So yes, they can have children, but not in the "conventional" way (conception via sexual intercourse).

Because it's all about religion. The Abrahamic religions are so varied that they need to focus upon procreation and the family unit to teach the offspring and their offspring and so on and son one to maintain and spread the faith. It is a matter of survival, the more offspring the more minds to control. In the long run, and I suspect it's already happening, a war of the one right way to be will happen. Some one right way to be will win out by mere numbers and eventually we will run out of room or resources. What I find really sad is that faith can take precedent over reality. G-d gave us free will and there is no reason to abandon G-d in favor of being in control. We have to as a species look at what is happening around us and use the knowledge that we have gained through science to better the planet for all species thereby bettering ourselves. One of the goals of the late President Ford was to make the issue of homosexuality a non-issue. We all have better things to concern ourselves with than the private lives of law abiding citizens. Thank you for your time.

Reasoning.
We were created to be above Angels and the animals. God gave us free will and reasoning to use it.
We have the ability to CHOOSE to accept our 'condition' be it homosexuality or alcoholism, and we have the ability to CHOOSE to deny that very same 'condition' and stay with a chosen spiritual path.
I didn't say it was easy to deny our hearts desire, like loving someone of the same sex or drinking and doing harm that way!
The truth is that it's very difficult to follow a true spiritual path and deny the flesh what it wants.

It is only considered perversion by certain backward thinking knuckle draggers that live in prehistoric times.

Most people that have a brain and actually use it, see nothing wrong with homosexuality

I don't have an answer when it comes to homosexuality but, I don't think people should be compared to animals.

I've never heard it called natural for animals. Plus, it's only considered perversion to churchy peoples and stuff. Half of my friends are homo or bisexual.

Don't you think you're different than a beast? And who told you homosexuality is natural in animals?? They sometimes do ride their own gender but not for sexual satisfaction.. but more like a 'teaser-horse'.
