Any song that you can play that is soft like jazz or grunge so you can look at the sky to fit the mood. I do that. At night, I do that listening to Human Sheilds - Fear Factory. During the day, I choose Down in a Hole - Alice in Chains.

Go for electronic sounds. I use 'em for biking. Trance usually keeps me well... in a trance, so I can concentrate on the activity and block out other things.
Electronic music, with the fast beats and powerful tunes give me energy (as they do to many others). You may want to try ambient music... it's like background music, except it's meant to be listened to. It helps me concentrate.

Not sure on EXACT songs, but ZERO slow songs for running. Some rock and some awesome country songs (If you listen to these genres) maybe even pop or techno...just no slow songs!!
