Many community colleges offer associate degrees in Criminal Justice. Those are the classes you need to take to be a cop. Universities also offer degrees in Criminal Justice.
You'll have to take regular classes, too, such as English, Math, Psychology, science in order to get either a 2 year or a 4 year degree.
Some of the larger cities have police academies. Check into one of those places, see what kind of academic requirements you have to have prior to applying to the academy. The academy should be able to point you in the right direction.
Also, have you discussed this with your guidance counselor? They should have the information you need.

Many people that want to become police officers choose criminal justice or a similar major. However, you don't have to. You should choose a major that interests you, that is marketable, and that could be useful for police work. There are many good majors for police officers and people that want to become law enforcement officers. Accounting, computer science, a foreign language, law, and psychology are some examples. When choosing a major, you should consider what you might want to do if you decide not to become a police officer or if you can't become a police officer. Whatever major you choose, make the most of your time in college. Choose a school that is properly accredited, get the highest grade point average that you can, participate in a couple extracurricular activities, get a good internship, do some regular volunteer work, don't do anything illegal, and maintain a good reputation. Getting a college degree is one of the best things that you can do if you want to become a police officer.

Most colleges will have a list of CJ/LE classes that are required for the degree. Depending on how long you want to be in school will determine how many and what classes you'll need. Just start checking with junior colleges.
Most agencies do not require a college education. You will, however, likely be required to attend a police academy. They last about 6-9 months and will teach you everything you need to know. They generally work like a "boot camp" with physical training and teaching you how to fight, in addition to the book stuff.
Some academies are in conjunction with colleges. You take the college classes to learn the book stuff then attend an abbreviated academy for the shooting, driving, cpr, etc. This also gives you some college credit. Don't believe it if apolice academy says you get college hours for their training unless you are actually enrolled in the college and taking the classes there.
To be honest, you'd be money ahead to scrap the cop idea and be a doctor or lawyer instead...trust me!
