Elmo is a red puppet- like character known as a "Muppet" from the children's television program "Sesame Street".

An "Emo" is a person who identifies himself with a particular kind of rock music known as "emo," which is short for "emotional," due to the heavy emotional content of emo songs. "Screamo" is an offshoot of emo and combines emo music with harder rock and metal. Emo's tend to dress in a somewhat effeminate and retro way (with tight, straight-legged pants, broad belts, black eyeliner, etc...) and to have unusual, asymmetrical or "messy" hair styles.
