An elf. I mean, they never get sick, what's not to love? Not to mention they are very attractive and, have you ever seen a fat elf? I mean, they obviously don't have a weight problem. They are so graceful, wise, and in tune with nature as well.
My second choice would be a fairy because---well, I don't know why except that they are cool.

An elf, they have the best powers of the group in any mythology/folkflore they exist in. I'm too tall to be a hobbit ;-)

I'd rather be an elf, I've always been fascinated by elves ever since reading Lord of the Rings. I love faeries, but they're often portrayed as mischievous, which I don't understand....
