im 16 and gay recently using a well known chat room a guy stated talking 2 me. he added me 2 his msn and we talk every night. i really like him and he really likes me. hes 27 but ages doesnt really bother me, ive never really had a boyfriend and never done advanced stuff with guys. is it socailly wrong to for this to be going on?

It's wrong for this to go beyond IMing each other. There's more than a decade between you and him. Not only is this illegal in most states (for the sex part), people shouldn't really be romantically involved with people more than few years older/younger than them until they reach middle age. And guys his age should be looking for guys that are at least five years older than you.
Maybe I'm just kind of conservative in this sense but go out with a guy who is a little more in your own age range. If you can attract a 27-year-old guy, I'm sure you can find somebody who's 17-21 or so (if you want someone who's a bit older).

Yes it is wrong, because 16 and 27 is too much of a diffence!
26 and 37 wouldnt be because you would both be adults, you are still a child and this is an adult who says he is 27 (he is probably lying and much older) he is a pediphile praying on an under developed, imature kids that has never been with some one. It is not wrong for you to have your "crush" on him but for him to have interest in a 16 year old kid is sick.
Be careful you are playing with danger, there are many kids your age and younger who have gone ahead with their desires and trust in a person like this and have never been found again, or their broken bodies are found months later by the police who had been looking for them since the day they went out on their first most wonderful date with this wonderful older man. Age didnt bother those that have been murdered either..........too bad it didnt.
Find a kid your own age and have a ball..........stay away from grown men until you are one too. To them you are a comodity a fetish a boy for them to teach and god only knows what they want to teach you! They may want to teach you how to die, or take you and tie you up and torture you ..................it happens every day!

Honey, even if you think age doesn't matter, it does matter, you can find someone your own age, also you are still too young to be focusing on love relationship now, concentrate on school, you still have time for that, be careful who u talk to online, also a lot of times guys want only one thing, and they will do the impossible to get it.

I think that generally, age difference is a matter of taste and individual circumstance (after a certain point, obviously). However, the law has something else to say. I'd say either stick to someone closer to your age, OR wait till you're 18 and knock yourself out.

talk 2 him now you guys can like eachother and have a relationship just dont act on it until your 18 that only a year and some monthes away you will be fine but dosnet meen you have to totally cut him off and in some states it may be legal with parental consent .
