Who thinks that? I think that will never happen again.

US will have another civil war, I beg to differ.
However, more and more people in the media keep on saying that USA is in the darkest period of time!
After Sep. 11, Katrina and war in Iraq, USA is divided even more and more. These unfortunate scenarios have opened up so many flaws in US politic, democracy, value, social and class system.

There already is another civil war. It is called the arm chair politicians and their ability to type. Anyone can sign up and intelligence is not required. Everyone is either a Dem. or Rep. No one is just a plain old American anymore and that is sad.

I've seen, with my own eyes, gay people who talk about the "fight for equal rights" as if it will be war if they don't get what they want.
Just look at the heated debates we are having on here, in this forum. Look at the mutual expression of hatred for one another (something that I've done, too) because we can not even agree about how to interpret our highest law -- the Constitution.

we have a 2 party system, and there aren't many friendly ties inbetween the two. But hopefully a civil war will never happen.

Because the gap between the liberal and conservative way of thinking seems to know no compromise.
