marshall freaking faulk ... #28 could take over a game whether it was rushing the ball or recieving it ... he didn't have all the moves of barry sanders but he was close and then he had the speed to burn the defenders ... it is too bad that injuries have taken over his career ...
next in line would be bo jackson, sterling sharpe, thurman thomas

Brett Favre-- He is an amazing player with an unbelievable heart. He has played with a broken finger, broken thumb, sprained ankle and the day his dad passed away. That day he threw for 399yds. He is a great leader on and off the field. I was at Lambeau Field last week vs the Vikings and it was like 4-5 hrs before gametime and it was like 30 degrees and pouring rain and Favre is leaving the Stadium parking lot as he sees one guy alone on the other side of the Parking lot fence and Favre gets out of his truck and runs over to him in the pouring sleet/rain just to give this guy an autograph he then runs back to his truck and drives off. It was the coolest thing I have ever seen. Favre had his first losing season last year after 15 straight winning seasons. He is a 3 time MVP (1995,1996,1997) and lead the Packers to 2 superbowls beating the Pats in 97 and losing to the Broncs in 98 he is a great player, leader and hero.

well I haven't been around too long (only 15)
But my FAVORITE by far would be Chad (Ocho Cinco) Johnson. this will be his 4th straight year leading the AFC in receiving yards and he is leading the whole NFL this year.
Chris Carter.
I remember all the great catches that he used to make.

Walter Payton man, "Sweetness". He has influenced me as a football player and emotionally. He was a great player and a great person. I have his book, never die easy, and it inspires me even more, and makes me think about how one man can do all that in 45 years. I read that book everytime november 1st comes around. I always will.

Emmit Smith....genuine individual who did not get all caught up in the hype of being a great player. Gives a lot back to the community. Gone on to do great things.
Jerome Bettis....great player who also did not get caught up in all the hype of being a great player. Gone on to do great things. Gives back to the community.

Eric Dickerson, I loved his running style combined with his power.
Joe Montana, because the game was never over with him, the comeback king.
