Okay so I have heard that your cervix changes if you are preg. I know that during ovulation it was very low and soft. I could feel the opening. It has hardened some but its in basically the same position. Can someone describe the cervix during a normal 28 day cycle? What about during early pregnancy?

Hi there.
I might be able to possibly help a bit.

Hormones and relative fluctuations are common during ovulation as you said yourself. Such hormonal fluctuations DO affect cervical structure. You can observe such changes by getting a sample from the lower genitals and stretching it between two fingers. One should expect that coming up to menstruation, such a genital sample to be highly viscous. After menstruation however, this viscosity is decreased and possible drying can occur.

I found this site though. It should provide more help.

Best of luck

I can tell you that when you are pg. your cervix is very high, 'hard' and closed up tight.

right after you ovulate, your cervix is low and soft and closed.
as you go through your cycle it becomes higher, harder and open until you 'o' again.
