I remember when you used to get a film or two after midnight, or even a repeat of something a little interesting. Have you noticed there's no adverts either? I guess they're making more money from premium charges than from selling advertising space.

Is there anything we can do about this? Perhaps if someone got a massive letter writing campaign together we could make some waves... there have to be thousands of shift workers who've basically had a whole channel robbed from them.

Notice how the BBC haven't dared do anything similar? That's because we pay them the license money, and because they are publically funded they know there would be an outcry. As much as I detest the license fee, if it keeps crap like that off our screens I am all for it. Channel 5, great, it's something to keep the channel going. ITV? No way should it be allowed to get away with it.

the hollywood show creators have become lame and un motivated to creat quality shows.Like back in the 80's you had a movie of the week some kind of true story movie the baby switch etc type of movies . Now u have all these damn reality shows etc. an I'm so sick of game shows and reality shows. I want real shows etc, and even cable is getting wack i remember when vh1 and Mtv and BET showed music videos 24/7 when did they start to think they were NBC , CBS, ABC to creator show with subject matter and real issues. I want my old MTV back music 24/7 even MTV2 is going that direction weres the videos . I can always get educated from the TLC , Discovery , National geographic channels . But i don't care about no rich ppl like Laguna Beach and OC ppl issues to either eat lobster and caviar or get daddy's creditcard. yuck!

I honestly think that they should be banned, No intelligent person would dream of ringing them, apart from perhaps once to try them out, when they will soon realise that the majority of callers do not even get through to give their answer, but they will still be charged the premium rate for the call!
The companies that run these scams are taking advantage of the uneducated, the half wits and the inebriated.
It is immoral and it should be outlawed.

They are awful and the hosts are so repulsively cheesy they drive me bonkers with their falseness! I've even heard a version of these shows on late night radio so they are obviously going to take over that aswell arrrrggghh!

They are immoral and I am surprised that so called respectable TV channels show them. However, while people keep ringing in they will keep on going. The BBC do not show them because we pay a licence to watch. I also believe it is below the BBC standards.

did you hear that one cashcall program was hauled up in parliament as the most common article in a ladies handbag was... rawl plugs! the issue was are these programs fair, and should they be classed as gambling... in my opinion they should be taken off the big channels as they are shite and NOT entertainment. Bring back repeats. And late night music.

They drive me crazy - you have no chance of winning them - they're totally fixed and rely on drunks and saddos paying the premium rate for phonecalls. They definately shouldn't be allowed.
