Many people feel this way. Many adults.

It's not altogether bad. It's an awareness of the kind you will likely throw away if you hang on to spoon-fed answers from people who know equally little. Really, none of us know. Some have faith, but that just means they are willing to believe what someone else tells them so they don't have to feel the way you describe. Hey, if it works for you, go for it. Feeling like a lost and lonely soul isn't much fun.

We are part of something bigger, however. I don't think anyone can tell you exactly what that means. But it seems apparent that life is a giant, integrated struggle. We may be its best hope of moving from one planet to another. Where will that get us? Who knows. Maybe there's already life out there. Maybe not.

Maybe, maybe, maybe. We don't know! I recommend hanging on to the things that make sense, being close with friends and family, and making the best of this life. Do what feels right. Listen to the earth - listen to your inner voice. Why do you feel the way you do? The simple answer has already been given - you are human. That's the way it is.

You can find happiness and you can feel less lonely. You can find a purpose, or create one for yourself. But we all feel this way sometimes, and that's alright. :) Best of luck to you on your journey.

I'm a Teacher and alot of my students also feel this way. It's very interesting to hear their prospective on things. This phase usually will pass though, so don't despair.

I completely comprehend this feeling. It's awful. I recommend meditation or guided meditation. That's what helped me. It gave me a foundation for learning who I am.

If you live near a city library, go check out what they have on meditation, guides and prayer. It's amazing what's available at libraries now.
