Does it turn over when you try to start?? NEVER replace a part till you know the problem. The fusible link, if you have one, is close to the positive battery terminal on the cable. If the lites turn on it's not the link. Need a few more symptoms other than it won't start. You could have broken a wire or some such thing while changing battery. Are the battery terminals and posts shiny clean ?? If you didn't clean them that is your problem.
