Many people I assume, I think the question would be more relevant if had given an indication as to why you ask. If you are asking because you are staying home NYE and perhaps feel the need to relate to others who are doing the same for a sense of comfort - then my answer would be; alot of people stay home for new years for various reasons, single mothers etc, or like one of your other answers mentioned they just chose to ignore it - I think as long as u are happy with what you are doing then you will have a great one - if not then change the situation, go out, even on your own who cares. If this question was asked in order to try and arrange some sort of get together for those who are staying home and do not wish to, then well done - for you have showed me that not all humans are selfish and there is still a sense of community in this world, the things technology can do.... both good and bad

I am 25 years old.
It's as if i am now living in a different country than my family. And i am a young adult so i don't have a tradition yet ( altough i don't really like the fact of doing the same year after year).
This year i will spend NYE by myself home. With my 2 babies. I am not in the mood to go party with people i don't really care about. And maybe have a hang over the first day of the year.
I will get the best champagne, stay home and think about my future. About my life.
I am comitted to make this year a grand year in my life as in the last years i have accumulated experience and feel ready.
I wish you all a grand 2007 year.

Well, I did have plans, but because my Mother is insane, I'm grounded so I have no other choice than to stay home and babysit. It's oh so very sad :(. I wish the best to everyone this New Years Eve. Hope you have fun. Be safe!

Me, where I live you can't sell or buy alcohol on Sundays. So, all the New Year's eve parties were on Sat. night. Didn't seem like new years eve on Dec.30, so won't be going out anywhere tonight.
We'll just drink our champagne together and not worry about getting dui's.

I am. I have no desire to be out on the road with a bunch of drunk drivers. My son and I are going to stay home and have a movie night, and I am all for it!

Me for one. Back in the 60's and 70's I used to go out and howl at the moon, but no more. It ain't healthy and New Year's Day can be a real bummer when you do that...
