Its probably the equation to a line. The formula is y=mx+b and m=3 and b=25. 3 is the slope so if you are graphing this, then u go 3 up and 1 to the right. And 25 is the y intercept and this mean that the line goes through the point (0, 25) on the graph. Or it sis just an equation u need to solve for x.
3x+25=0
3x=-25
x= -25/3

i think your math teacher wants you to simplify, so it'll be 3(x+8 1/3) or if you're solving it it should look like 0=3x+25
1) you first subtract 25 from both sides -> -25=3x
2) then divide by 3-> (-25/3)= (3x/3); then all that remains on the right side is x
3) Solve (-25/3) and that is -8 1/3 and therefore x= -8 1/3

Since the small x is not assigned a value it would be transposed to the right of the =, or =x. Therefore 3+25=x, x=28.
If the equation is complete the +25 is a positive number and a positive number does not require a plus sign in front of it. Therefore the equation would be 3X25. 3X25=75
The equation is either incomplete or displayed wrong.

Do you mean to put it in this form:
3x+25=0
3x=-25
x=-25/3
Check:
3(-25/3)+25=0
-25+25=0
0=0
