If you send a text message to ##########@teleflip.com

(the # signs are the 10 digit cell phone number) - the message will get to the phone.

The nice thing is that this works with phones that don't normally accept text messages from computers (example, TracFone) - which is how I discovered this.

Check your carrier's web site. I use Alltel myself, and their web site allows you to send a text message from their site to another Alltel customer for free. I'd imagine other major carriers would do the same.
