I can't talk to my parents because they are part of the problem. Can't talk to friends because they are kind of going through the same thing and they wouldn't know how to help. So I'm that desperate to ask strangers online for help. So heres the deal I'm a teenager so confused about everything in life that I just don't know what to do anymore. It seems like I'm misunderstood by everyone. My parents are constantly putting me down and if I go try to talk to them they'll just never understand where I am coming from.

well from one teen to a next, i feklt like you at one point. my family used to put me down they told me that i would never become anything good inlife. but i held my head high and tried to prove them wrong and that is exactly what i am doing. some parents just do not know what to say to their children when they need elp,why maybe because they never had anyone to talk to so they had to make every decision on their own. now that they have children they think that's the same way it should be but it's not. you mentioned that they are part of the problem because they just wont ever understand where you are coming from. they feel that because you're a teen you shouldnt have much to think about just school and that is it. but let me tell sometimes we have more than they can handle. sometimes they dont even want to talk to you because they dont want to give you the wrong advice. and you also said that you always get misunderstood same with me, i still get misunderstood. but i dont let it get to me, i do what i have to do,they are where they wnat to be im not or you are not as yet. if they dont want to talk to you write a letter to them,and put it into their room. parents always wait until it's just too long to help their teenage daughters and sons. they need to see that you are crying out for helo and until you make it clear that you need to talk to them and right away they wont make any effort at all to listen or even hear what you have to say. it sad that you have to come here for advice or what to do. it's really sad. but liseten to me i understand you. im 16 i dont know how old you are. talk to a guidance counselor at school or some adult that you feel you can trust. i understand you we are speaking the same language my friend. i overcame that by not even going to them with my problems i found my own way to deal with it. and im not talking about cutting my wrist or sleeping with boys or even drinking. i found someone that i could talk to,someone that i know would never let my secret out. it's not even a person it's a machine. and that is the computer. i have a lock for my computer and i type all my feelings and talk to it as if i were talking to someone. it helps it really does.i think it does. but on the side i had my cousins older cousins that i could go to. it will all be over. it takes one day at a time my friend just one day at a time. try talking to someone other that you know would never say anything to anyone. even a bigger cousin. and as i said before a guidance counselor. good luck and good bless you always.

What teen doesnt go through that.Your parens love you and always will it may not feel like tha right now but isten its just a tough time in our life. You may struggle but donjt do anything bad like cutting or killing or stupid emo things ok? make me a promse right now u wont do that.It will make you go no where in life. These are the times where Jesus will carry you just struggle through it. Talk to the guidence counciler at your school. Trust me it helps.I have experience first hand... i am a teen..mabey im just more mature and realize this but listen dont worry be brave and i wish u the best of luck on your life. I was definately a troubled teen. Just remember that the decisions that you make now, you are stuck with. If you are screwing up now, as an adult you will have less respect from both peers and loved ones, but be more specific and maybe I could help more.

Every one feels like every one in the world doesnt pay attention to them, but people really do care about you and if u have ever seen It's a Wonderful Life, it really does prove that everyone serves a purpose and you have freinds and your parents really do love you, even if they dont know how to show it!

parents do these things but dpnt realise how much they are hurting you by doing it. tell them exactly what they are doing and the effect it has on you!!!!! best of luck

if no one is listening, then you are talking to the wrong people, go to your school councillor or an adult you can trust and be comfortable with
