What happens if a will is found after an estate closes? Lets say an exhaustive search for a will turned up no will. Then - later on - after the proceeds of the estate have been distributed to next of kin (by state law, since there was no will found), a will is found and the people who have already received the money and closed the estate are not included?

In most states there is a time limit for any other documents, such as a will to be presented to the executor of the estate, after it is admitted to probate. If such documents are not submitted during that time, they will not be used in the handling of the estate.

I would talk to an attorney, and find out the laws of your state, but I dont think it would be admitted.
