We're not in Nebraska yet. I have researched it and can't really find anything about them.

And ferrets are illegal in California, probably some other states as well.

In Nebraska, it goes by city for that. Ferrets used to be illegal in Omaha until 2003 or so when they redid the code.

Contact the Humane Society or animal welfare office for the county or city you are moving to.

(DO NOT ask pet shops- they can often sell even if it is illegal for you to own in the city (they just assume you live elsewhere, etc.), and most of them either do not know the truth or are willing ot stretch the truth.)

Here is a good way to find out. Go to your local pet store and look for ferrets. If they sell them, they're legal because pet stores can't sell you anything illegal to own in that state. And just to save you the trip- they are legal everywhere in the US- it's just a ferret

Yes you can have ferrets in Nebraska. The pet stores here sell them.

of course they are, theyre legal anywhere in the us, it's just a ferret, not a tiger or something
