I really dont think Beckham is that good. All he really does is take penalty kicks! Beckham is good at penalty kicks, but thats all. I was so realieved when he hurt his leg in the world cup against Portugal. i just knew there were not going to be any penalty kicks that they will really have to worry about. but i want to know who likes beckham. oh and im sorry im saying all these things about beckham, since some people like him!

I don't like Beckham and i agree with you about him. He's not a skilled player , not fast , low stamina but only his free-kicks are accurate.

I agree that Beckham's "celebrity" status is overplayed, but it isn't overplayed by him. It is overplayed by media. If he was not a talented player he would not have been in The World Cup at all. Let's not forget that Ferguson recruited him for Man Utd, and while I'm not a fan of MU, Ferguson is a genius when it comes to picking highly skilled players. ...hence all those titles and championships
Beckham takes the corners because he can plant a ball where ever he wants. His aim is very accurate. He also takes a lot of free kicks for the same reason. He can pick a target and nail it. Like him or not, that sort of talent can't be denied.

I think Beckham is very cool. Not only in penalty kicks, but also free kicks. He is good in controlling the ball. So, I guess I like him for his abilities, NOT LOOKS.
He looks good, I guess. But, most of the girls loves Beckham for his looks, not ABILITIES. Everyone has seen his looks and are not looking at his abilities. That's why few people dislike Beckham and think he is way too overrated.
If Beckham can get others to look at his abilities, he'll surely become famous in both.

Ummm first of all i think u mean he's good at "free kicks" and "corner kicks" not penalties he sucks, but he WAS a good player but he sorta getting into the game now that he's starts in a last couple matches. Give him a break!!

If you think somebody bad, so you will look somebody bad too. The first thing to do if you look somebody, you must find what is he/ she good at/ what is the good thing from him/ her. Beckham is not really bad. He quite good at football (absolutely when he shoot a free kick). He is very good at the entertainment, he is a good entertainer. I love Beckham so much. He is my number 1 football player!

I think a lot of people who think he is over rated are going on the form he has produced over the past seasons. In his day he was a great player and a darn valuable asset. To a degree, he through his celebrity, brought the game to many who didn't have clue. He was quick, he was accurate with his shots and passing. He was reliable and of course a corner/free kick specialist. Not a bad asset to have in your team I think. But to be happy at a players injury, not nice, but shows even you feel, he was a threat in that situation.

Ya! ofcourse I like him, he is very good in penalty kicks as well as freekicks.My favourite foorball players are Ronaldingho and Zidane.

yeah he is good but not so good cuse some other soccer players like ronaldinho or C.ronaldo even rooney r way better then beckham but he is still good and he is the best after ronaldinho on free kicks

Why do you explain that he is the one chosen for those set pieces, because besides being a great player, he gets to do those penalty kicks thanks to his excellent accuracy, just like Pirlo for Italy, Ronaldinho for Brazil, Zidane for France and so on. He is a chosen one...
