Besides being a US president, what can be another thing in common between these two presidents? Don't think too hard, but you may probably need to do some research.

You are so right if you mentioned both of them were VP and succeeded the president whom they were under. However, just another common thing that I am looking for. It is a little bit tricky and you many need to do research, but don't think way too hard.

Neither was on the ticket as vice president when the president they succeeded (FDR in Truman's case, Nixon in Ford's) was first elected to the presidency.

Unlike Ford, though, Truman was actually elected to the office of Vice President in 1944

They were both common men who didn't aspire to he Presidency. Both were from the mid west and both were at peace with the world after they left the presidency.

Truman with the bomb.

Ford with the pardon.
