i am a huge jays fan so i do have a bias but whatever. i think that it will be a toss up between all three teams (yanks, jays, and sox). the only problem that the jays have is starting pitching. they did lose ted lily to the cubs but he was having problems with gibby. they did however add a great hitter in frank thomas and a so/so hitter in the canadian boy matt stairs.
also they did sign vernon to that outragoues contract extension. even though i think he is arguably the greatest centre fielder in the league he was overpayed. where are they getting all of this money. they could have used that money to get some decent pitching. but in the long run i think it will work to our advantage.
the only issue i have is the rumors that they are gonna deal rios for a starting pitcher. i would hate to see him leave cause he has talent and is part of our future. if they do however make a trade they better get someone good in return. but riccardi knows what he is doing so i'll leave it at that.
to conclude i think they will have a good chance since they finished ahead of the sox last season and they just might push for the division if they have a couple good months. if not then definite contender for wildcard.
GO JAYS GO!!!!!!!

I predict that they will put up some very good offensive numbers led by Wells and Thomas, but that outside of Halladay, their pitching is below average. Therefore they will finish third. Also they lost Frank Catalonatto who was not a star, but a very good line-drive hitter, and that will hurt them a little bit, as he was always in the middle of rallies. They will be a tough team, but not on the level of the Yankees, or even Boston!
I also predict that the Blue Jays will play half their games in Canada.

I feel they could make a push at the wild card. The Al East is still the Yankees but the Red Sox are slipping. I think The Jays finished better than the BoSox. The Jays have a preaty good rotation with Holliday and Burnett and with the rumors going around about them trading Alex Rios for starting pitching, who knows how good they could be next year. I hope they do good though, I am tired of the same teams winning their divisions over and over agan.

Got to be honest, 3rd as usual. They just can't compete with the big two. They have all round better teams and if things are not going too well they will reach into those deep pockets and sort it out. The Jays don't have that luxury. I also think the sox have improved their rotation with Dice k and papelbon coming in. So we will see....

Honestly, I see another 3rd or 2nd place finish for the Blue Jays. They definitely have a chance for the Wild Card this year, but no guarantees.

With the beefed up Red Sox starting rotation and the perennial Yankee powerhouse, the Jays will slip back to third. Sorry.

I felt they had a good shot in 2006 with Rios showing up and a few others emerging as well and I feel they have a real good chance with Thomas on the roster, but they are in a tough league too. Maybe wild card?

Frank Thomas MVP, and the wild card. The rest depends on their own luck. Yankees will be 3rd in the east this year.

They might finish in 2nd again in 2007.
Wild card? I dont think so.
I'm sure the wild card will come from the Central division again.
