Actually USA does have history. Anything that has existeted for even a second or a moment has history so if you are referring to American History well I've taken the class for a year and well ask away or look in text books and you'll find H>I>S>T>O>R>Y!

What do you mean? The USA does have history. Hm, but I guess we are the youngest country, so I do understand. All of our history really starts with European history, but...oh well. Three cheers for the New Deal!

Maybe your question should be....."want to know how I feel having NO intelligence"? For goodness sake.....do you think the US just formed out of nothing? How many cultures do you think the USA was formed from apart from the indiginous people???? Let's start with Irish, English, German, Jewish and South African or Carribean just to name a few....each and EVER one of those brought with them HISTORY...they made HISTORY.....you on the other hand are only making history here at showing your ignorance and bigotry......sad bunny! People like you just come on here to get an 'argument' or to upset...well don't be surprised if you don't!

The U.S. has been an independent nation for over 200 years. The Native Americans were around before then, and some are still around today. The U.S. has a history, you just haven't acknowledged it yet.

Perhaps he should rephrase the question - what does it feel like having very little history. I can't imagine living in a country without any real political, religious or empirical legacy. I don't see the USA as having any historically developed culture in its own right, I just see it as a giant melting pot of other cultures - and sure there must have been history before the settlers arrived, but no one has a clue what the real history is, as it wasn't thoroughly documented.
The answers to this question just confirm the stereotype that Americans are arrogant and blinded to their own shortcomings as a nation.

America is rich with history, and indeed linked to British History.
At least not linked as a penal colony like your handle indicates.

lol, of course they have history! Anyway all their ancestors have history. They know exactly how their history started, whereas here in Britain many of us don't know where their ancestors came from. They have hundreds of years worth of history and I find it interesting.

We have history. We fought for our Independence. We fought for our land(France, England, Mexico), civil war, WW1, WW2, Vietnam, desert storm, many presidents(scandals, death, etc), civil rights, amendments, our spreading out, sales, science, medicine, technology, and so on. That's just scrapping the top we have a lot of history.
