Ahh, the vaginal pains. Feels like a knife, doesn't it? I had it with each of my three pregnancies. They'd come out of nowhere, sometimes making me sit upright and clench my legs and buttocks together. I swore I'd never let my husband in there again. If I recall, it's part of the natural process of the body preparing itself for delivery. The bones that surround the cervix, which are part of the pelvis, are connected by ligaments, and these ligaments are more easily stretched during pregnancy due to a hormone (cleverly nicknamed "relaxin") that makes your ligaments more pliable and stretchable, therefore being able to accommodate a baby's head as it passes through the birth canal. Those relaxing ligaments are the sharp pains you're feeling. Totally normal. Though it's hard, try to focus on being thankful that your body knows what to do, or else that baby would never be able to come out!

Some baby's are just more active then others. Your doctor can give you tips on things that can make the baby calm down. Try not to eat spicy foods at dinner time. And the pains normally means that the baby is lying on a nerve. I had them all the time in the last 3 months of pregnancy. Try taking a warm bath. The water can help the baby to switch positions, and might help to relieve some of the pain. Hope this helps, and congrats.

I totally hear ya! Same pains and same active baby. At 34 weeks just pray the end is near.
Try putting a pillow between your knees when lying down (assuming you sleep on your side) also a pillow right under your belly and behind your back. This helped me.
But those stabbing pains? I have no idea what to say to help that - those are weird and painful but I have a healthy 22 lb one year old to prove that they are normal (and my midwife also said it was normal :) )

The pain is the ligaments, that support your uterus, stretching. I know it hurts, but you can try stretching yourself each day, to help loosen your muscles up. Second, the baby kicking; there's not really much you can do about it. You can try to discourage SO much movement at night, by watching what you eat before you go to bed. Baby get's what you eat. If you have an orange before bedtime, baby will be wide awake and playing. Maybe carbs, and dairy. Lay off the sugars, and proteins before bed.
I hope this helps. If not, remember, you're nearly done. Congrats and happy new year!

Congratulations! So you are a little over 7 months pregnant you are on the home stretch, I always enjoyed my pregnancy when I could feel the baby move or see the baby move it seemed the bigger the baby got the more funny pains that I got when my son was born his toes were kinda funny because he was so squished but he was pretty tall too, I think every thing sounds normal to me because they are all symptoms that I had.

It is all true. I seems they never sleep. But it is normal. The hip pain is normal too, once I had the baby the hip pain and pelvic pain went away.

Yep torturous but normal. You may be carrying low and feeling the pressure in your vagina and cervix. I had that with both of my boys but not my daughter (go figure). Hip pain could be bursitis or sciatica. Normal but awful, sorry. That will only be cured by giving birth. Hang in there!!

When you are active that helps your baby sleep, so when you are still they are sometimes awake. I know this causes some discomfort, but you just basically have to bear through it. You don't have much longer!

Oh yes it's normal, as you get further along you will find that your child has a sleep pattern and will calm down.
