Yes - we are the friendliest people in the world :-) seriously, I think I'm friendly to people, although right now in Asia. Like all the people in the world though, the Czechs complain about 3 things; the government, their salary/cost of living, and the Gypsies.

Many Czechs are friendly, but in a different way than Americans or westerners. Czechs will help you if you're lost, the will be polite, they will invite you to their home, they will introduce you to people, they will go paces with you... but it takes a while to really get to know them. Friendship runs deep, so they don't open up about themselves as quickly as Americans do. You have to prove to a Czech that you want to be their friend, which can take some time, sometimes years, but then you will have a friend for life.

from my experience in travel people are the same where ever you go if you treat people the way you want to be treated that is how you will be treated so if you go looking for trouble it will not take long for it to find you , most of the people that i have met have been nice but i have met the odd one i just give these type of people a wide birth

Yes they are, but of course, you can't group everyone into one category. Of course there are nice people and of course there are mean people wherever you turn (although the severity and extremeties vary enormously)

I was there for a few weeks last January...they are qite rude in my opinion...they only want to know you if you are a tourist and they might get some money out of you...be careful when u are there
