I expect Toyota will be first, as usual. The Chevy/GMC hybrid doesn't really save enough fuel to matter. It does have some innovative features that would have been cutting edge about 5-10 years ago and would be worthwhile to incorporate into their regular trucks, but since almost all of its power comes from the traditional gasoline engine, it is just not enough.

I expect Toyota will be the first to the plate. I haven't heard anything yet, but I'd be amazed if they didn't have one by the 2008 model year.
If you really want a hybrid pickup, GM is selling them now, though they aren't very good. They get something like 15 MPG instead of 13 or something like that. Kind of a joke.

They are available now. Chevrolet makes a hybrid Silverado. Can't go wrong with that.

That's easy........ NEVER!!! Hybrid vehicles should get good milage, but not one hybrid vehicle in the U.S.A right now gets good fuel milage. The auto manufacturers would lose money in oil stock and fuel sales if cars got good fuel milage, duh!
