Old, as in 30's and such? The Marx Brothers made some great movies. Duck Soup is hilarious. Abbot and Costello, Laurel and Hardy. Oh, or Gaslight. Get the first one, the one made in 39, not the one in 40. It's much better, despite the lack of Ingrid Bergman.

Alfred Hitchcock's movies are always great. They always entertain by showing the unexpected. "North by Northwest" - danger on a quiet sunny day. "Rear Window" - all seen from a person's window. "The Stranger" - the uncle you thought you knew. "Psycho" - shower scene horrified people not to take a shower for weeks. "Dial M for Murder" - clever plot that didn't work. For fun, Hitchcock always put himself in a scene. Can you find it?. The stumper is "Lifeboat". The entire movie is shot in a lifeboat.
