They sell clear nail polishes that make your nails grow long and strong. Maximum Growth by Sally Hansen works pretty good and it's very cheap. Oh, and according to the Tyra show eating jello does nothing, it's a myth.

If you have a good diet with balanced nutrition, you should have good nail growth. Other than making sure you have a good amount of calcium daily, either by diet or calcium supplements, you're nail will grow well. If they break easily, use a nail strengthening brush-on product to keep them strong while they grow. This should work! Good luck! And I wouldn't bank on nail-growing pills, it's just hype! You have to eat healthy to grow anything well, so it all starts on your plate!

people tell you to eat gellatin products but i know for a fact that it dosen't help. heres what will; eat foods with a lot of vitamins and minerals firstly (you can tell if foods have vitamins and minerals if they are the same color as they were when they came out of the ground, or off the tree, etc. Fruits and Vegetables are best!)

personally i just like to take a multi-vitamin everyday but since you dont want the hassle then use Sally Hansen's "nail strengthener/ hardener". if you are a biter then you have to stop biting... i know its hard but just think about how great your nails will look after words! good luck! i hope my advice helps!

Biotin is fabulous for nails, skin, and hair. It comes in pill form but since you don't want that...there are other sources:

* Liver and kidney
* Dairy products
* Some seafood, especially oysters, lobster, and salmon
* Yeast
* Cauliflower
* Chicken breast
* Egg yolk (but not egg white)

Licensed cosmetologists/beauty therapists all recommend that.

Getting some professional manicures and then learning what to put on your own nails to protect them is also a great way to go!

Eat enough protein and cut out the stress.
For example, my mom's nails were constantly flaking until after she got divorced.
Nice nail-promoting polish might help, too.
