i noticed my mind has a hard time multitasking...i can only focus on one thing (to the extreme) for instance, i was only thinking about eating the food before me, but didnt see the sauce right beside it, so i started preparing my own sauce!! its like my brain shuts everything else and sees only one thing....sometimes i blame my reading books too much...my brain seems to have gotten used to receiving evertything at one stare...how can i stop this?!

my driving instructor also said about me not being able to look and observe around...

Sometimes you see that kind of intense focus in autistic people. Maybe you're on that spectrum? You can get evaluated, especially if you're in school, to see if there's something you can do about it.

That is probably because you're a college student and used to studying now! So you're habits are focused on one subject at a time---I would guess that in time this will change.
