I also use BofA. No you do not need to include anything. When you enter your pin # your deposit will go to that account. You can still get a receipt for your deposit.

Most of the time you have to write your name and account number outside of the envelope and sometimes the amount. It usually has a space for this information on the actual envelope if it is required. Otherwise you need to make sure you fill out a deposit slip and put it into the envelope with your deposit.
I heard that Bank of America also took pictures of your transaction (cash or checks) when you deposit them into the new ATMs.

I'm sure the bank does a daily reconciliation of cash in machine versus withdrawals and properly documented deposits. So they will come up with a 500 dollar discrepancy. Regardless of whether you used an envelope, the ATM shuld have given you a printed receipt. Make sure you have that with you.

Looking at the BofA ATM envelope, you don't need a deposit slip, nor do you have to write anything on the envelope. When I deposit, I usually write the total on the envelope anyway so It's easy to enter the total on the ATM machine.

The answer is always yes. I do it because electronics can make mistakes and I have had it happen to me before. I made a deposit that never showed up and the teller told me mistakes can happen but I had my receipt so it worked out.
I mean after your transaction goes to the ATM there is still a teller or someone that keys stuff in.
I also had an ATM experience where it did not give me all the money I withdrew. They fixed it right away with a receipt, but I thought that only happened on TV.Best of luck to you.
Happy New Year!

I usually write my bank (which is also Bank of America) and my name. I am assuming that you are including a deposit slip in the envelope. If not, you should also be doing that.

Wow, I thought that was some kind of joke - are American banks really so useless? I thought the A in ATM stood for automatic? Here in Japan everything is done digitally and by using a touch pad to enter bank number, pin number, and so on, and ALL ATMs here have cameras above them and ALL transactions are videod. Wow, I have never been to America so I am still scratching my head, duh..........
