Well, they sort of stick out a bit, and sit just below the eye. You can see sort of a "curve" from where the cheekbones are to where the eye is, inward sort of like a "j." The face ends up looking a bit more pointy, usually--gives it a triangular appearance from the cheeks downward.

Even men can have quite the handsome "chiseled features" look about him! The top of your cheekbones, may stand out, and most models have this. If you think you don't have them, and are overweight sometimes losing weight brings out prominent cheekbones you didn't know, or forgot you had! You may also lose a chin!
