Start menu, connect to then select show all connections. Should show what is available including dial up. You could try contacting your ISP for help they should want to keep your business. Clear the browser cache, check the cables. From the control panel, system, device manager do you have any yellow ? question marks? that would indicate you do not have some device drivers installed.

I find the most difficult problem is identifying your hardware. Could you have a conflict (did the connection ever work). You would be amazed at what just rebooting can solve at times. Try removing power from your modem, power down the computer then restart. You could be a little more specific. Who is your ISP what hardware do you have, but even that has its drawbacks (security). Good luck, hope this helps.

Go to Internet Options from the Tools menu. Then click on connections tab. You can either edit your connection info or add a new one. Also you could go to Network connections in your control panel and add info thier too.

your chosen homepage or your email usually requires you to sign in(log in)also if u have dial-up connection when you make a fresh connection it should require a username and password depending on your connection configurations.
