We've all have heard about the ongoing competition between America's most well know auto makers, Ford and Chevy. But if it really came down to a competition, who do you think would have the edge over the other, Ford, or Chevy? I'm interested to hear your answers.

Ford and Chevrolet have been going at one another since Mr. Ford and Mr. Durrant(of G.M.) were alive. The choice is ultimately the individual who has to pay for his/her vehicle.

I have always leaned toward the Chevy camp and would love to have another '61 Impala bubble top again.

Ryan is right Toyota will be the #1 "car maker". Ford, Dodge an Chevy trucks will still be #1 truck makers. As far as off-road use like trail riding in mud the asian trucks are good ,but bring it out to the ranch/farm its no contest. When you need raw muscle...you buy AMERICAN.....bottom line!

Chevy sounds cooler, but words can be deceiving. Definitely Ford. Fords are an American tradition. I'm proud to say,"My daddy drives a Ford!"

Chevy for sure. Ford is going down the whole, letting go of many employees. I haven't really heard anything bad going on with Chevy, so I assume everything is alright. I'll go with Chevy.

Toyota is crushing them both as we speak. LOL

By this time next year, Toyota will be the #1 car builder in the world.

The only competiton between Ford and Chevy is for whose stock price can drop further, faster and who can build the least reliable small car. Next?

Toyota will be releasing the next gen Tundra with a massive turbodiesel in the next year or so. Expect upwards of 500 lb ft of torque and Toyota reliability. You were saying?

Probably the chevy, becuase it has probably has more torque than the ford. Diesels generally will have more torque than gasoline. And the dually probably has more traction than the V10 titan because of its 4 rear wheels.
